The UK Libraries has announced the 2019 recipients of the Earle C. Clements Innovation in Education Award:

  • Ashley McGaughey, Spencer County Middle School in Taylorsville,
  • Donnie Wilkerson, Jamestown Elementary School, and
  • Chris Workman, Waco Elementary School, Madison County.

The award winners were chosen based on their ability to demonstrate knowledge and enthusiasm for the subjects of history and civics, commitment to raising student awareness of the importance of public service, their impact on student success and their use of creativity and innovation while teaching.

UK Libraries will celebrate their creativity, dedication, and service at a public ceremony and reception at the University of Kentucky Margaret I King Building’s Great Hall in the Special Collections and Research Center on August 8th at 4 pm.

Please use this Google Doc for your RSVP by August 5th.
